Yamaha R7 crash cage (2021-2026)
The R7 shares its punchy CP2 twin with the MT-07 but wraps it in full fairings, and those are expensive to replace after a drop. This Yamaha R7 crash cage takes the hit first, so the engine and the critical parts around it stay intact whether you are learning wheelies or just lose balance at a standstill.
Built around a reinforced front mount
The front engine mount of the cage is reinforced to take the load when the bike falls on its side. The cage absorbs the impact instead of the engine, while it stays light enough not to change how the R7 handles.
R7 stunt cage or crash bars?
Riders call it a stunt cage, crash cage or crash bars. This is a full cage with crash pads at the contact points, made for repeated falls during stunt training and still sensible for everyday street riding.

Before you order
Will I have to trim my bodywork?
In most cases no - the cage goes around the stock plastics. Always compare your bike with the photos on this page, because a facelift year can share the frame and still have different panels, and then a bit of trimming is needed.
What about the exhaust?
The cage is designed around the standard exhaust visible in the photos. If you run aftermarket headers, expect a clash - our cages are built on bikes with factory headers.
Two up?
No problem, the cage leaves the passenger seat and pegs usable.
Warranty?
Two years. Parts that went through a crash are not covered - that is what the cage is there for.
How much does it add to the bike?
Roughly 5 kg for a small cage and 8 kg for a big one, all made of reinforced seamless tube.
What happens when the pads wear out?
You just swap them. The sliders are a wear part and one type fits every cage we make.
