MT09 Engine Guard
The MT09 engine guard is a durable and effective solution designed to protect your motorcycle’s engine and frame from impact damage. While many riders focus on performance upgrades, proper protection is just as important — especially for those who ride frequently or practice stunts. This engine guard acts as a strong barrier, absorbing and dispersing energy during a fall or slide, which helps prevent costly repairs. Made from high-quality steel and designed with precision, it combines strength with a lightweight construction, so it won’t negatively affect the bike’s balance or performance.
Unlike standard guards, this solution offers extended coverage around key components of the engine, ensuring reliable protection in real crash scenarios. It’s also designed for simple installation, allowing most riders to mount it at home with basic tools. Whether you’re a stunt rider or a daily commuter, the MT09 engine guard provides the peace of mind you need on every ride. Its clean black finish gives the bike a professional look while offering practical protection where it matters most.
Before you order
Will I have to trim my bodywork?
In most cases no - the cage goes around the stock plastics. Always compare your bike with the photos on this page, because a facelift year can share the frame and still have different panels, and then a bit of trimming is needed.
What about the exhaust?
The cage is designed around the standard exhaust visible in the photos. If you run aftermarket headers, expect a clash - our cages are built on bikes with factory headers.
Two up?
No problem, the cage leaves the passenger seat and pegs usable.
Warranty?
Two years. Parts that went through a crash are not covered - that is what the cage is there for.
How much does it add to the bike?
Roughly 5 kg for a small cage and 8 kg for a big one, all made of reinforced seamless tube.
What happens when the pads wear out?
You just swap them. The sliders are a wear part and one type fits every cage we make.
